I'm using the web analytics tool Matomoto gather some statistics about my visitors. Matomo is free software (GPL) and runs only on my server in Germany. Data collected using Matomo is never passed to any third party.

Privacy is an important issue for me, that's why personal information (like IP addresses) is always stored in anonymized form or not stored at all. Furthermore, Matomo respects DNT headers, which you can configure in your browser to opt out of tracking. Tracking only happens on the server side, so there are no cookies or javascript requests to remote servers or any of that stuff.
